The average selling price for high rise condo in downtown Edmonton has risen to $336,349, that is up from last year where Downtown had an average sold price of $329,360. The average time it is taking to sell a condo in Downtown Edmonton in 2016 has so far been 56 days. High rise condo prices were fairly flat from 2009 to 2011 but since 2012 the prices have been steadily increasing. The higher proportion of newly built condo towers also help bring the condo sale price average up as more and more of these units are selling on the MLS system. The highest price that a high rise condo sold for in downtown Edmonton this year was $1,450,000. The complexes that had the most activity and units selling in them this year include: Alta Vista in Railtown, Cambridge Lofts, Capital Centre, the Century, Cosmopolitan, Fox One, Hillside Estates, Icon 1 and Icon 2, Quest, and Vivacity One.
