Glastonbury is located in west Edmonton, south of Whitemud Drive and west of Anthony Henday Drive. As a result, there is very good access to freeways from this neighbourhood. The Hamptons neighbourhood is located to the south and the Granville neighbourhood is located to the west. The Glastonbury neighbourhood is also known as the Grange and Parkland areas.
Most of the homes were built in the 2000's with a few of the older homes started in the late 1990's. As of 2008 the ratio was about 88% low density and 12% medium density. The Granville neighbourhood has a Costco planned, with access next to the River Cree casino. Currently there is a Safeway and there is also a Save-On Foods in the neighbouring Hamptons neighbourhood. Just like the Hamptons to the south, the area is quite popular with families. The shopping, schools and trails in the area help this area to be desireable to all ages of buyers.
