Visit here for all Ritchie homes for sale in the popular Mill Creek Ravine area of Edmonton.  The Ritchie area is an interesting neighbourhood that has really transformed over recent years.  Years ago the neighbourhood had a really high percentage of rentals and wasn't the safest neighbourhood. That has all changed now.  Over the years, young couples have come in and renovated the homes that were predominantly 800 square feet or smaller and 2 bedrooms.  As a result of the predominantly 2 bedroom floorplans, the area does tend to see a higher level of turnover.  This is mainly due to these younger couples becoming young families and outgrowing their 2 bedroom homes.  In recent years, there have been more infills built in Ritchie, including homes with basement suites as well as side by side duplexes.  This has allowed many families to stay in the neighbourhood once they outgrow their smaller home.  This also ties in well with the City of Edmonton's desire to increase the density in these older areas near the core of Edmonton and thereby reducing urban sprawl. 

The condo complexes in the neighbourhood include: King Edward Place, Scona Gardens, Creek Side, South Gardens, Strathcona Haven and Solstice off Whyte.
