The name of the neighbourhood comes from a surgeon that lived in the area and practiced at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Dr. Norman Terwillegar.  Terwillegar Gardens and Terwillegar Greens are two areas that make up the Terwillegar South neighbourhood.  Homes in this area sell as high as the million dollar range.  The area has really good access to the Anthony Henday freeway, and ample commercial shopping options are off of 23 avenue.  The southern area of the neighbourhood has several condo complexes including: Park Place, Ospin Terrace, Axxess at Terwillegar, Mosaic Towne Square, Terasun Gardens and Sandlewood Place.  Over the last 12 months 38% of the sales were single family, 48% were condos and 12% were duplex style.
