Walker has recently been developed.  The area is part of the Walker Area NSP (Neighbourhood Structure Plan) began in 2007.  The area has grown from north to south.  The Northern border to the neighbourhood is Ellerslie Road,  the east boundary is 50th street and the west boundary is 66 street.  The area continues to grow and to the south the Aurora neighbourhood has recently been started.  The area does have easy access to the Anthony Henday freeway at the 50th street interchange.  The area's most common style of residential property is single family detached housing, and that style of home makes up 52% of the sales since the neighbourhood's inception.  Condos have made up 15% of the sales and the rest of the market consists of duplex and rowhousing which makes up 32% of the sold properties.    The condos in the neighbourhood include: Walker Lake Landing, Sandstone at Walker Lake Station and Southern Springs.
