The Ottewell neighbourhood is located in the southeast area of Edmonton.  This is area is popular due to the large lots with decent frontage (50 foot plus range) and the homes also tend to be in the 1200 square feet range for bungalows.  Unlike some other areas closer to Mill Creek Ravine, Ottewell features larger homes on larger lots.  There is also easy access to downtown, Wayne Gretzky Freeway and to Sherwood Park.  Schools in the area include, Braemer Public School, Clara Tyner Elementary School, Ottewell Junior High School, Austin O'Brien High School, and St. Brendan Catholic Elementary School. Capilano Mall has recently been redeveloped and is located north of Ottewell.
