The Athlone / Dunvegan real estate average sale price per square foot has fallen in April of 2012, but that is due to the type of home sold this month. 67% of the sales in April in Athlone were basementless homes, these homes sell for much less per square foot. The average sale price in Athlone does continue to be volatile due to this basementless component in the averages. As I've mentioned in previous posts, Athlone is also effected by the newer (1990's) built homes in Dunvegan. Dunvegan is a part of Athlone and these homes skew the average higher for the neighbourhood. The highest sale price for a home in Athlone in 2012 has been $345,000 and yes that home was in Dunvegan. The average time to sell a home in Athlone in 2012 has been 49 days, almost identical to the Edmonton avearage days on market of 48.
