Best Neighbourhoods in Edmonton

The best neighbourhoods in Edmonton is a subjective topic.  What may be attractive for one buyer is not the same for another.  More expensive normally means more demand and a more desirable area, so we can look at the average sale price per square foot in different neighbourhoods.  This price per square foot paints a picture of what areas of Edmonton tend to be in higher demand and therefore cost more.  I've looked at the areas that tend to sell for more than $300 per square foot. You can certainly see a pattern where the higher valued areas tend to cluster.

In the west end of Edmonton, the higher priced areas include both mature and newer areas.  The mature areas are: Crestwood, Parkview, Glenora, Grovenor, North Glenora, Laurier Heights and Westmount.  Click on any one of these neighbourhoods to see a detailed sale price per square foot over the last few years.  In the newer areas of the west end, the one area that sells in that $300 per square foot range is Donsdale.

On the south side of Edmonton, the higher priced areas in mature neighbourhoods are: Capilano, Gold Bar, Idylwylde, Bonnie Doon, Holyrood, Fulton Place, Strathearn, Garneau, Queen Alexandra, Belgravia, Allendale, Ritchie, King Edward Park, Hazeldean, Strathcona, McKernan, Lendrum Place, Park Allen, Avonmore and the newer area Magrath Heights.
