Top Edmonton Neighbourhoods that sell the fastest

A good way to see how popular a neighbourhood is, is to consider the average days on market, or in other words how long it takes to sell a home on average.  In 2013, the Edmonton average time to sell a single family detached house was 44 days.  The fastest selling neighbourhoods in Edmonton, actually sell twice as fast. Considering all Edmonton neighbourhoods that had 4 or more single family detached house sales in the last 12 months (Up to the end of February 2014).  I've included the top 20 below.

8. Virginia Park 22.8 days to sell
9. Royal Gardens 23.5 days to sell
10. Garneau 23.9 days to sell
11. Aspen Gardens 24.7 days to sell
12. Capilano 25 days to sell
13. Idylwylde 25.6 days to sell
14. Holyrood 25.8 days to sell
15. Queen Alexandra 26.2 days to sell
16. Britannia Youngstown 26.3 days to sell
17. Terrace Heights 26.5 days to sell

Most of the neighbourhoods are on the south side (13 out of the 20 are south side areas).  Central MacDougall is a new one to the list, and it is up at number 2.  This is a central Edmonton area that traditionally has been more affordable.  The downtown arena project could be helping with this neighbourhood's strength.
