What Month are home prices lowest in Edmonton?

When you are looking to buy a home, it can be helpful to know when prices are softer.  One way to find out is to look at the average selling price for a single family detached home by month.  I had a look at the average selling price by month for the years 2010 to 2014.  This data of course can be used for home sellers too. 

The top 3 highest average selling price months for Edmonton are:
1) June at $406,956
2) May at $406,909
3) March at $405,400
So, as a seller the early spring market is often when you will receive the most money for your home.  Although, in a falling market where prices are slipping it is often better to sell sooner rather than later regardless of the time of the year.
