Our sales were strong in April, over 1800 homes sold. The prices slipped very little from March. A single family dwelling in Edmonton is selling for $383,564 in April 2010. Condos are at $253,240. The only concerning sign is the building inventory. As of April 29, 2010 the inventory is sitting at 7994. We normally see about 500 homes expire at the end of the month (come off the market). So, we should be around 7500 for an inventory level. This is identical to last year, but last year we didn't start with a level of 4000 homes for sale. The inventory growth has been substantial this year versus last year. May sales will be interesting.
