The number of sales according to The REALTORS Association of Edmonton for April was 1740 homes. Last April (2009) we had 1849 homes change hands. So, the sales are strong considering the change in mortgage rules that came into effect on April 19th.
The inventory is up to 8056 properties for sale. This is higher than our peak last year. In 2009 we peaked out at 7539 properties for sale. This increase in inventory caused our prices to stabilize. Average price for Single Family Detached was $385,359 (down from March $388,473)
Average price for Condos was $253,788 (up a little from March $252,416)
